1How to Connect

As a Registered User: On the home page, the "Already Registered?" tab is selected by default. Enter your nickname and password, then click "Connect to Chat". Your identity will be verified automatically and you'll join #Armenia.

As a Guest: Switch to the "Guest"tab, enter any nickname, and connect. No password needed — you'll be joined to #Armenia instantly.

2Register Your Nickname

Registering protects your nickname so nobody else can use it. Use our built-in registration page:

  1. Go to the Register page.
  2. Enter the nickname you want — we'll check if it's available.
  3. If available, enter your email and choose a password.
  4. Wait 30 seconds (required by the server), then registration is sent automatically.
  5. Check your email for a confirmation code and enter it.
  6. Done! You can now log in with your nickname and password on the home page.

3Using the Chat

Sending Messages: Type your message in the input bar at the bottom and press Enter.

Switching Channels: Use the sidebar on the left to switch between channels. On mobile, tap the menu icon to open the sidebar.

Viewing Users: The user list is on the right side on desktop. On mobile, tap the people icon in the top bar.

What is Cilicia Chat?

Cilicia Chat is a modern web chat platform for the Armenian community. Connect instantly from your browser — no downloads needed.

Do I need to register?

No — you can join as a guest with any nickname. But registering protects your name and lets you use it every time.

Is my chat history saved?

Chat history is saved locally in your browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your history won't carry over.

Can I join other channels?

Yes! Use the /join #channelname command to join any available channel.

Why does registration take 30 seconds?

The chat server requires you to hold a nickname for at least 30 seconds before it can be registered. This is automatic — just wait for the countdown.

Why can't I connect?

Make sure you're using a valid nickname (letters, numbers, and underscores only). If the server is temporarily down, please try again later.
